Web Design
Shale Creek Brewing
Project Type: Web Design, UX/UI design, photography, wix.com, Sketch
Date: January-March 2024
In January, I received a freelance offer from Shale Creek Brewing in Franklin, Indiana, to help redesign their website. The website was hosted on GoDaddy (which the owner did not like) and had not been updated since 2016. My job was to modernize it and make it accessible to their older audience. I photographed the pictures, except for my aunt's artwork that is included in the About Me page, and laid everything out. She also wanted a template website that she could access to update menu items if needed and a website builder that is affordable for her. I recommended Wix to her. I finished the project on March 7th, 2024.
High Fidelity Website Exercise
Project Type: Web Design, UX/UI design, Adobe XD
Date: January-March 2024
In my web design class during my sophomore year of college, we learned how to make a high-fidelity (HiFi) website using Adobe XD. I wanted to add a moving element to my website because when I looked at websites with moving elements on their pages, I thought they looked cool and unique. I wanted to challenge myself to keep these things moving while testing my UX/UI skills that I just learned in class.
It Takes A Village Desktop ReDesign
Project Type: Web Design, UX/UI design, wix.com,
Adobe XD
Date: July 2024
A therapist from Kokomo, IN, contacted me during the summer and asked me to help update her website. She had paid someone else to build her website off Wix and added duplicate pages, did not organize the pages well and made it overwhelming for her to read her page (and even myself), and made the layouts complicated. All the information was on the home page, so I knew right away that I had to put this information that was already on the home page, separate it to her and my liking, and decide to make the information into separate pages. She also wanted to add four additional pages (all in the "About" tab). I liked the color scheme that she chose for her website, so I organized her pages to the point that it didn't overwhelm the audience and would be easy to navigate and read!
